Walter
Jachna – Born and raised in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, he was
active in the Scouting program and served on the towns’ call Fire
Department and scuba diving unit.
Walter
graduated from Valley Forge Military College, Bridgewater State College
and C.C.R.I., where he currently serves on the Executive Committee of
the C.C.R.I. Foundation, which raises funds for the colleges’ four
campuses.
He owned and operated a private security firm for many years as
well as a wholesale uniform company.
Walter is currently employed by Tuition Management Systems of
Warwick.
Walter
feels he can use his prior business experience along with the knowledge
garnered from serving on the C.C.RI. Foundation to assist the Center in
dealing with its current challenges as well as to better position it to
face the future.
Walter
has severed on several Maher Center committees including the 50th
Anniversary Gala Ball and the Cocktail Celebration Committee since 2003.
He
currently resides in Newport with his wife Eileen and his sister-in-law
Sheila Jeanes is a client at the center.
