John S. Dugan Jr. … was appointed to the Board of Directors in 1988 by Jim Maher Sr., for whom he had worked for many years.

He serves on the following committees: Strategic Planning, Personnel and Finance, Scholarship, Chaves Golf Tournament and is also the publisher of the " Enterprise " newsletter. John was the founder and president of "From The Heart, Inc.", which raised money for the Maher Center and other local charitable organizations.

John was born and raised in Newport , and is the owner of Aquidneck Waste Consultants.
